🚨 You need to know

Construction is starting next month on a major new affordable housing project in Arlandria, Alexandria Living Magazine reported.

Sansé and Naja, two buildings being constructed by non-profit developer Housing Alexandria, will have a total of 474 units of affordable housing with 36,000 square feet of commercial space. The development will also have an underground parking garage for 379 cars.

The housing will be affordable for households making up to 80% of the area median income with 105 units set aside as deeply affordable for those making 40% of the area median income.

The first step is the demolition of the current buildings on the site, with above-ground construction starting later this year. Alexandria Living Magazine reported that the project is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2026.
