Alexandrians should be hearing less helicopter noise thanks to some changes at the federal level.
Earlier this week, Rep. Don Beyer (D-Va.) announced changes to flight paths for helicopters to try and cut down on noise issues — particularly for helicopters coming to and from the Pentagon.
The change comes after years of noise complaints and community input. A system for logging complaints will remain, though, so residents can continue filing complaints if helicopter noise remains an issue.
“Since I took office over eight years ago, helicopter noise has been a constant source of complaints from constituents across Northern Virginia,” Beyer said in a statement. “Here in the nation’s capital with military, medical, commercial and other aviation, aircraft noise will always be with us — but there are things we can do to help reduce the impact on residents.”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.
You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.
It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
