Three-Year-Old Hailed as Hero for Alerting Father to Neighboring Fire Alarm

An Alexandria three-year-old is being called a hero for alerting his father to a fire alarm going off in a neighboring apartment.

On the evening of Tuesday, Feb. 4, firefighters found that food was left cooking on the stove of an apartment in the Cameron Court of Alexandria complex, and then discovered that the resident of the apartment was experiencing a medical emergency.

The Arlington-based real estate firm submitted plans to Alexandria officials last week for a seven-story, 177-unit building along North West Street, bounded by Madison Street and Wythe Street. Fox 5: No Additional Delays on Seminary — Alexandria’s Seminary Road controversy has taken another turn in the local TV news spotlight. This time, Fox 5 looked at the lane reduction issue and concluded that the brief periods of gridlock on the road during peak times are not, in fact, worse than it was when the Seminary was two lanes in both directions. Population, Housing Continue to Grow — “Alexandria’s housing inventory is barely keeping up with its population growth.
