Del Ray’s First Thursday event gets postponed due to rain

Del Ray’s final First Thursday of the year has been postponed due to rain.

The event, which featured antique appraisals from three experts, has been rescheduled from today (Sept. 4) to Thursday, Sept. 11, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the parking lot of Del Ray Psych and Wellness (1900 Mount Vernon Avenue).

“We are so sorry for the late notice — due to rain we are POSTPONING tonight’s First Thursday until next week,” the Del Ray Business Association said via email.

The event is sponsored by the Del Ray Business Association and Monika Schiavo from Coldwell Banker Realty.

“Walk-ups are welcome,” DRBA said. “However, those interested in attending are encouraged to provide information on the object and upload pictures here.

Also postponed for Sept. 11 is the “Future Treasures” Kids Art Zone at Pat Miller Neighborhood Square (2311 Mount Vernon Avenue), where children can create sun-catchers, self-portraits, and sidewalk chalk masterpieces.
