Final Friday Trivia: Which Crime Show Features an Alexandria Serial Killer from the ’70s?

Update 3 p.m. — The answer is Mindhunter! Rissill is a major focus in the fourth episode of the show’s first season.

After three weeks, the short-lived Friday Trivia series is coming to a close. It’s getting axed — genius is never understood in its own time.

In honor of last night’s Port City’s serial killer trivia contest, the week’s trivia involves a serial killing in Alexandria in the 1970s.

Between August 1976 and March 1977, Montie Rissell (warning: the answer is in the link) murdered five women in Alexandria. Rissill was sentenced to five consecutive life sentences, which he is currently serving at the Pocahontas State Correctional Center.

One aspect of Rissell’s case was featured in a television show in 2017. One woman Rissell abducted told him that her father had cancer and Rissell, whose brother had cancer, let the woman go.

Which television crime show featured Rissell’s case? Was it Inside the Mind of a Serial KillerCriminal MindsDateline, or Mindhunter?

Finding a gift for moms can be difficult. Google “Mother’s Day gifts,” and you’ll scroll through endless lists of beauty products, candles and fuzzy robes. Sure, those are sweet, but sometimes it’s fun to surprise loved ones with something a little more, well, practical!

Here’s one idea: Give her a gift certificate for a home cleaning from Well-Paid Maids. It’s the perfect “thank you,” “I love you” or “you’ve got this” for any mom. She can schedule the home cleaning at her convenience and breathe easy knowing she has one less thing to do.

Our cleaners will take care of everything, including vacuuming and mopping as well as cleaning and dusting countertops, tables, mirrors, appliances and more. Sinks, toilets, showers and appliance exteriors also get a good scrub.

Plus, when you buy a gift certificate from Well-Paid Maids, you’re supporting a living-wage cleaning company. That means cleaners get paid a starting wage of $24 an hour and get access to benefits, like 24 days of PTO and health insurance.
