A 66-year-old woman was hospitalized yesterday (Wednesday) after she was struck by a vehicle while crossing Cameron Street in Old Town Alexandria.

The crash occurred at around 2:40 p.m. at the intersection of Cameron Street and North West Street, according to the Alexandria Police Department.

“The pedestrian was in the crosswalk at the time of the crash and was transported to a local hospital for evaluation,” an APD spokesperson said.

The woman’s injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening.
