Meet Mac, a fun companion who hasn’t met a person he didn’t like.
Mac will enthusiastically greet you with doggie kisses and loves to play games like tug-of-war. He also likes to show off his smarts with tricks like “sit” and “down.” But he’s ready to learn more with the bribery of treats.
According to an Animal Welfare League of Alexandria volunteer, Mac fits into different kinds of homes and enjoys cuddles.
“Mac would make a great family dog, but he could do equally well in a single household. He is a very flexible guy!” the volunteer told ALXnow.
This 18-month-old pup has a soft black and white coat and a “smile that is quite infectious.” At 60 pounds, he may be at the end of his growth spurt, according to AWLA.
Mac can be visited during the shelter’s regular adoption hours:
- Noon to 7 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday Noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday
