Meet Mocha, a former stray who will melt the heart of her next owner.
Mocha came to the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria as a stray and is looking for a home of her own. She prefers the company of people over toys and would love to accompany her owner wherever they venture to.
“She is an energetic pup who would do great on long walks and would love to accompany you on any outdoor activities that you may be interested in,” an AWLA volunteer told ALXnow. “As long as she is with her person, Mocha is a happy dog!”
Mocha is a 4-year-old medium-sized dog weighing about 35 pounds with a steel gray coat and tan markings. She loves being petted but will be your new best friend if she gets a rump scratch.
Mocha can be visited during the shelter’s regular adoption hours:
- Noon to 7 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday Noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday
AWLA will be open regular hours for adoptions on July 3 (noon to 7 p.m.) and be closed July 4.
