Ice skating has returned to Ice & Lights: The Winter Village at Cameron Run Regional Park, and the venue has plans to celebrate.
The outdoor skating rink at 4001 Eisenhower Avenue is hosting a Winter Ice Skating Party from 6-8 p.m. tomorrow (Thursday), with skating discounts, free hot chocolate and “Critter Corner” animal meet-and-greets, according to NOVA Parks.
Mayor Alyia Gaskins and members of City Council will be present to commemorate the start of another outdoor ice skating season at the family-friendly spot, which includes various light displays and photo opportunities. The party will also offer fire pit s’mores.
Attendees can receive a 50% discount on village admission and ice skating by using the promotional code, MAYOR50, at online checkout. Prices typically range from $9 to $24 per person, depending on the activity and date.
Evening ice skating and the village displays will remain open daily through Dec. 30. Daytime skating is available on weekends from Dec. 6-14, Dec. 20 to Jan. 4 and weekends and holidays from Jan. 10 to Feb. 28.
