The Alexandria Police Department(APD) is helping people clean up with their laundry detergent drive.

Until June 26, APD’s Neighborhood Resource Unit is collecting laundry detergent for Alexandria families in need.

“All donated supplies will be distributed to local families in need through APD community outreach events at the end of the month,” APD said. “Your support can make a real difference.”

According to APD, donations should include new, unopened bottles or boxes of laundry detergent.

All donations should be dropped off at APD headquarters at 3600 Wheeler Avenue.
