No Awkward Silences, Just Wagging Tails: AWLA to host virtual dog speed dating event

There’s an adoption doggy speed dating event in Alexandria on April 2, 2025 (via AWLA)

Is love at first sight possible? Find out on Wednesday (April 2) by looking into the eyes of all the adoptable pooches at a “speed-dating” event with the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria.

We promise there will be no awkward silences here, just pawsible connections,” AWLA said.

The event will be held April 2 at noon.

According to AWLA:

Each adoptable dog will be introduced by an AWLA team member. We will highlight the pup’s likes, dislikes, and any other fun personality traits or specific needs.

The event is not an adoption event, but rather a chance to get to know some of our eligible bachelors and bachelorettes. If you think one of the dogs featured seems like a great match, we’ll help you set up a one-on-one in-person date.

RSVP here to get the Zoom invite link.
