Notes: Alexandria driver killed in hit-and-run in D.C.

Alexandria resident Rhyes Patrick-James Harris, 30, of Alexandria was killed in a hit-and-run in D.C. on Monday, Patch reported.

The crash occurred around 3:18 a.m. on southbound I-295. Harris reportedly was outside of his vehicle on the left shoulder of the road with mechanical issues when the driver of another vehicle struck him and then fled the scene, Patch said.

Police said the striking vehicle may be a 1999 or 2003 Ford Windstar minivan and could have a broken windshield and missing driver’s side headlamp. Anyone with information is asked to contact the D.C. police at 202-727-9099.

Monarch Montessori School is now enrolling infants, toddlers and three year-olds for its full-time Montessori program. We offer a seamless enrollment process which involves submitting an application for review, paying the enrollment fee and submitting the remaining enrollment materials before your proposed start date.
