
(Updated at 4 p.m. on July 9) Alexandria Police are investigating a shots fired incident in the Braddock neighborhood last night that left a man hospitalized.
The incident occurred sometime after 9 p.m. last night (Tuesday). Police said a man was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
“During the incident, one male sustained non-life-threatening injuries to his lower body and later was transported to the hospital,” Alexandria Police said in a release. “The cause of the incident is still under investigation.”
The shooting comes almost exactly one month after another shooting two blocks away that left a man seriously injured. Another man was shot and injured nearby in December, and there were additional shots fired calls around that time.
