Pizza Hut employee stabbed in the back in parking lot

Alexandria Police are investigating the stabbing of an employee at the Pizza Hut outside of the business on Sunday, Jan. 16.

Police responded to the Pizza Hut at 1049 W. Glebe Road at around 7:30 p.m. for a report of a stabbing in progress, according to a search warrant.

Police found a male employee with a stab wound in his upper back, and spoke with numerous witnesses. The witness said that a skinny black male walked into the restaurant and asked the employee to speak with him outside, where an argument began.

“Punches were exchanged, and (the victim) walked back into the Pizza Hut,” police said in the search warrant. “As he did so, the unknown male followed him, and stabbed (the victim) in his upper back.”

The suspect was photographed leaving the scene in a dark-colored Infiniti sedan, which has since been impounded by police, according to the warrant.

The victim was transported to Inova Alexandria Hospital, where he received several stitches.

No arrests have been made so far, and police did not respond to questions on this incident.
