Va. Could Reduce Food-to-Alcohol Ratio — “The House of Delegates and Senate both passed legislation last month that would reduce the ratio of food-to-alcohol sales for restaurants in the commonwealth from no less than 45% to at least 30% … Advocates for the change, including one of the bill’s sponsors, argued the higher ratio failed to keep up with the times, In an interview with Radio IQ’s Michael Pope, state Sen. Elizabeth Bennett-Parker, D-Alexandria, cited the example of a customer who ordered a couple of $20 cocktails and a $25 burger.
