The City of Alexandria will not collect trash, recycling or yard waste tomorrow (Monday), according to an announcement this afternoon as sleet continues to fall.
Instead, waste collection will “slide” one day as the city’s crews continue to remove snow and ice. The city has released the following collection schedule for the week ahead.
- Monday collection will take place on Tuesday, January 27
- Tuesday collection will take place on Wednesday, January 28
- Wednesday collection will take place on Thursday, January 29
- Thursday collection will take place on Friday, January 30
The Household Hazardous Waste and Electronic Collection Drop-off Center will also be closed tomorrow. The city advises residents to report missed collections on rescheduled days with Alex 311.
