Teenagers with BB guns arrested last week after allegedly stealing teen’s jacket in Seminary Hill

Two teenage boys were arrested last Tuesday after allegedly brandishing a BB gun and robbing another teen of his jacket in Seminary Hill.

Teenagers reportedly robbed the victim at around 2:51 p.m. at a bus stop across the street from Francis C. Hammond Middle School.

The suspects fled the 4600 block of Seminary Road on a DASH bus and were later found with BB guns and the stolen jacket less than two miles away at the Bradlee Shopping Center, according to the Alexandria Police Department.

No one was injured in this incident, and the suspects were transported to the city’s Juvenile Detention Center, APD confirmed.

An incident description from the department is available below.

“Two unknown males threatened the victim, brandishing a gun, and stole the victim’s jacket,” APD confirmed to ALXnow. “The suspects fled on a DASH bus. Alexandria police conducted searches at multiple locations and located individuals in Cava in Bradlee Shopping Center who were in possession of the jacket and positively identified as the suspects. APD seized two BB guns and made arrests of the two teens who were ultimately transported to the Juvenile Detention Center.”
