Alexandria residents and visitors have dozens of entertainment options this weekend as the city’s Summer Restaurant Week continues alongside cultural festivals, live music and family-friendly activities across multiple neighborhoods.
Saturday’s highlight includes the 2025 Around The World Cultural Food Festival at Oronoco Bay Park beginning at 11 a.m., complementing the ongoing restaurant week promotion. Early risers can visit two farmers markets — Old Town Farmers’ Market starting at 7 a.m. at Market Square Plaza and Del Ray Farmers’ Market at 8 a.m. at Pat Miller Neighborhood Square. Fitness enthusiasts can participate in Murphy’s Saturday Run at 8:30 a.m. or try Pups + Pilates at Hotel AKA Alexandria at 9 a.m.
The city’s libraries host several programs Saturday, including a Psychic Development Workshop at James M. Duncan Jr. Branch Library at 1 p.m. and Mission Match Pathfinder Games at Charles E. Beatley Jr. Central Library at noon. The Little Theater of Alexandria presents a student improv show at 8 p.m., while The Birchmere features Eric Roberson at 7:30 p.m.
