Alexandria City High School’s top student artists will showcase their talents at the upcoming Titan Student Art Exhibition, which will be held at Del Ray Artisans Gallery (2704 Mount Vernon Avenue) from May 2 to 24, 2025.

The exhibition, which kicks off with an opening reception today (May 2) from 7-9 p.m., promises a blend of visual and performing arts. Visitors can enjoy chamber music performances by ACHS students, including a string quartet, jazz trio, and vocal quartet, under the guidance of Performing Arts teacher Kevin Pace.

Professional artists have carefully selected the artwork on display, with awards to be announced at the reception. ACHS Executive Principal Alexander Duncan III and Campus Administrator Ashley Carter Sinclair will present special Administrator Choice Awards to recognize outstanding pieces.

The event also offers unique opportunities for attendees. The ACHS National Art Honor Society will be selling handmade items to support the Visual Art Department, and student artists will offer henna tattoos for those looking for temporary body art.

Del Ray Artisans has planned additional events to complement the exhibition, including an art market on May 10 and a youth art workshop on May 18.

The exhibition is made possible through support from the City of Alexandria’s FY25 Arts Program Grant and a generous donation from Genesis Inspiration Foundation.

The gallery is open Thursday through Sunday from noon to 6 p.m., with extended hours until 9 p.m. on Fridays. Admission is free and open to everyone.
