More than 3,000 Dominion Energy customers in Alexandria are experiencing a power outage this evening (April 15).
The outage occurred while Alexandria was under a Wind Advisory.
Dominion Energy’s outage map says that it could take until midnight to restore power to 3,164 customers in the outage area. Dominion Energy serves more than 70,000 customers in Alexandria.

Alexandria Police is warning on social media of traffic light power outages in the Seminary Hill area.
Traffic Alert: Drive with caution in the Seminary Hill area. Most traffic lights are out due to the severe winds. Please treat intersections with a traffic light outage as a 4-way stop and use caution. Dominion Energy has been notified.

The City of Alexandria is monitoring the wind advisory in our area until 8 p.m. Report debris, down traffic signals, or other non-emergencies in the City, by calling 703.746.4444. If you have an emergency, please call 911.
