Operation Warm and FedEx Cares provide new shoes to all 320 Cora Kelly students

All 320 students at Cora Kelly School for Math, Science and Technology stepped into spring in brand new shoes on Wednesday (March 26).

For the second time this month, Operation Warm visited an Alexandria school to outfit hundreds of students with new shoes.

Today’s giveaway was made possible by Operation Warm and FedEx Cares.

“Thank you to Operation Warm and FedEx Cares for helping to keep our students on track as they race toward the end of a successful school year in their new athletic shoes,” Principal Molly McCabe said.

Operation Warm also visited Cora Kelly last winter and gave the students coats.

“We love when people come and take care of our students and give things to our students to make sure that they have everything that they need so they can come to school and learn and be great,” said Julia Burgos, the ACPS chief of school and community relations.
