While it’s clear blue skies this Tuesday afternoon, Alexandria could see a return of winter weather tomorrow (Wednesday).
The National Weather Service is warning that there’s a chance for snow and sleet tomorrow with a freezing rain likely overnight.
The National Weather Service said there’s a 40% chance for snow and sleet tomorrow before 10 a.m. with temperatures hitting a high of 37 degrees.
There’s a 100% chance of rain in the forecast for that night, however, with freezing rain overnight and a low around 31 degrees.
“New ice accumulation of less than a 0.1 of an inch possible,” the National Weather Service said. “New sleet accumulation of less than a half inch possible.”
Patch reported that some school delays are possible as a result of the overnight ice.
After Wednesday, the week is a mixture of sunny and cloudy days but with no other winter weather on the forecast.
