The Office of Historic Alexandria (OHA) is being honored today for its substantial restoration work on one of Alexandria’s oldest residential structures.
The Preservation Awards recognized OHA’s work on restoring the Murray-Dick-Fawcett House, a home at 517 Prince Street built in the 1770s. The property remained significantly unaltered since the 18th century and was acquired by the City of Alexandria in 2017.
The OHA recently completed a multi-year, two-phase exterior restoration that began in 2021 to ensure the preservation of its architectural integrity.
The Preservation Awards Ceremony is scheduled to be held today (Friday) in Richmond.
