A suspect remains at-large after an alleged stabbing in the city’s Arlandria neighborhood at the beginning of the month, according to the Alexandria Police Department.

The man was stabbed on the afternoon of Sept. 1 (Sunday) in an apartment in the 500 block of Four Mile Road, according to a recently released search warrant affidavit.

The victim suffered a non-life threatening injury and was treated at Virginia Hospital Center. He told police that he was stabbed by a resident who he knows only as “Jose,” and that the suspect was drunk and possibly on drugs, according to the search warrant affidavit.

No arrest has been made and the investigation is active, according to APD.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic male with a dark beard, dark jeans and a blue shirt. A “concerned citizen” then told police that they knew the suspect’s phone number, and when police called the number they found the phone in the cushions of the couch in the apartment, according to the search warrant affidavit.

Anyone with information on the suspect or this incident can contact the APD non-emergency number at 703-746-4444. Callers can remain anonymous.
