After concrete barriers were erected to keep locals out of a Del Ray park adjacent to Vice Presidential candidate JD Vance’s home, the barriers became covered with chalk graffiti.

Now, Axios reported those messages were painted over.

The barricades mostly had pro-Kamala Harris messages — generally to be expected in the heavily Democratic Alexandria — but they were at least predominately light messages like “#NotGoingBack” and “Harris 24”

There is no confirmation on who painted over the chalk messages, but Mayor Justin Wilson told Axios the barricades are rented and managed by the Secret Service while the Secret Service and the company that owns the barriers both referred questions from Washingtonian to each other.
