The TideLock development in Old Town North will return to the Planning Commission next week for some alterations to the planned project.
The plan is to replace office buildings at the site with residential buildings, a mix of condominiums and multi-family rental.
The applicant, Tidelock Apartment Owner, LLC, is applying to reconfigure property lines at the 1000 and 1100 blocks of North Fairfax Street. The goal is to allow more separation between the planned apartment building and new condominium.
“The applicant intends to reconfigure the property line between the two lots so that planned site features of the multi-unit apartment building under construction on Lot 600 do not encroach into Lot 504, which is where a new condominium building will be located pursuant to the approved Development Special Use Permit,” the staff report said.
The staff reported supported the rezoning, saying the change won’t have an impact on the proposed development currently under construction and it will ensure balconies and ground floor walk-out patios stay within the respective building boundaries.
Construction on the project started earlier this year and is scheduled to run for two years, with the development opening sometime in spring 2026.
