A gold medal isn’t the only honor going to Alexandria sprinter Noah Lyles — now the fastest man in the world — he’s also the namesake for a new burger at Holy Cow.

Holy Cow, a burger joint at 2312 Mount Vernon Avenue, has a tradition called Burger of the Month that celebrates whatever’s foremost on the minds of Alexandrians that month. Past burgers have included Alexandria High School during the renaming debate or the Atlantis burger honoring the closure of Atlantis Restaurant and Pizzeria.

The Noah Lyles burger celebrates the Alexandria City High School alumnus’ 100m final. The burger features a mix of angus beef, cheddar, bacon, sweet bread and butter pickles, lettuce, tomato, ranch on a brioche bun.

“Finish the burger in under 9.79 seconds and it’s free!” the restaurant added.

Lyles’ next race is on Thursday, Aug. 8. A watch party will be held at Alexandria City High School from 1-3:30 p.m.
