The Amazon Fresh store replacing Shoppers in Potomac Yard will be opening later this month.

Tech giant Amazon set the opening date for the new store at 3801 Richmond Highway at Thursday, July 25.

While other Amazon Fresh locations nearby closed and plans for Columbia Pike and Bailey’s Crossroads locations floundered, Amazon confirmed earlier this year that the Potomac Yard shop was proceeding.

The new grocery store will be 50,000-square-feet and will feature a rotating set of weekly discounted items and 10% savings for Amazon Prime members. One of the unique selling points of Amazon Fresh is using Amazon Dash Cart to skip the checkout.
