Yeehaw! Alexandria is getting a new country music festival starting next weekend.
The First Annual Alexandria Country Music Festival is scheduled for Saturday, June 15, from noon to 5 p.m. at Montgomery Park (901 N Royal Street) in Old Town North.
According to Visit Alexandria:
Featured bands include Ruthie and the Wranglers, Ty Bradoock & the Loyal Inmates, Billy and Bob Classic Country Band, 340-West Band, and Reluctant Playboys. Free line dancing lessons will also take place. Montgomery Park, located at 901 North Royal Street, features both a playground and a dog park, making the event both family- and dog-friendly.
Two blocks away there will also be The Art Mart, and artisan craft fair at Canal Center Plaza (11 Canal Center Plaza) featuring glasswork, book binding and more.
