Police brought in K9s and helicopter support for the pursuit of a wanted suspect spotted in the Braddock neighborhood, though scanner traffic indicated he ultimately escaped.
Around 12:47 a.m. police stopped a suspect at 1250 Braddock place. The man was wanted on drug and gun charges.
One minute later, a foot pursuit started through the Braddock neighborhood. Police eventually called in K9 and helicopter support from Fairfax County.
Police swarmed the neighborhood for over an hour, but scanner traffic indicated that by 2 a.m. the search turned up negative.
Officers are in the area of 1200 Braddock Place looking for a subject that fled from them. Fairfax Police K9 and their Air Support are assisting with the search.
