🚨 You need to know
Capital Bikeshare has had a banner year in Alexandria and could undergo an expansion just south in Fairfax County’s Mount Vernon District.
Mount Vernon news site On The MoVe said Fairfax County is considering installing new docking stations for classic bikes and e-bikes at a dozen locations around Mount Vernon.
Four stations — possibly installed later this year or early 2025 — would be installed along Huntington Avenue.
On The MoVe said the new Capital Bikeshare locations would help connect to Alexandria’s Bikeshare network and provide more connectivity to the Huntington Metro station.
