Notes: Child struck by SUV driver near Lincolnia on Saturday

Good Monday morning, Alexandria!

☀️ Today’s weather: Expect sunshine and a high of 58 during the day with calm winds turning south at 5 to 7 mph in the morning. The night will be clear with the temperature dipping to 42, while southwest winds at 7 to 10 mph shift to the northwest after midnight.

A seven-year-old was critically injured after being hit by the driver of an SUV on Saturday.

The boy was hit around 1 p.m. on Saturday in an apartment complex parking lot on the 400 block of North Armistead Street near Lincolnia.

The driver stayed on the scene and the boy was taken to a hospital with critical and life-threatening injuries.
