Notes: Restaurants rallying for ‘Cook-Off All-Stars’ to support local homeless shelter

A group of 20 local restaurants are coming together next month for a cook-off to support Carpenter’s Shelter, a non-profit dedicated to helping locals experiencing homelessness.

The Carpenter’s Cook-Off All-Stars 2023, one of the biggest fundraising events of the year for the organization, is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 29. The event will be held in The Birchmere (3701 Mount Vernon Avenue) from noon to 3 p.m.

Featured restaurants include Nando’s Peri-Peri Chicken, Rocklands Barbeque and more.

Join us in celebrating this monumental achievement at Carpenter’s 35th Anniversary Big Birthday Bash and Cook-Off All-Stars on Sunday, October 29th at The Birchmere from 12pm – 3pm. Enjoy tastings from 20 local restaurants, bid on hot ticket items during the live and silent auctions, enter raffles, and listen to live music by the Jones Point Band.

Tickets bought in advance are $50 for adults or $20 for children. Day-of tickets are $75 for adults or $25 for children.
