Whether it’s adding the Death Star to a pastoral scene to Mario Kart characters to a watercolor trail, “reimagining paintings” can be a fun way of spicing up otherwise blasé works.
The Alexandria Library is hosting an event tonight (Wednesday) specifically dedicated to painting over an existing painting.
“Have you ever looked at a painting and thought ‘I can improve that?’ Now is your chance!” The library said in the event listing. “You are the artist and can improve scenes with your brush and imagination.”
The event is open to teens, adults and seniors. It starts at 6 p.m. at the Duncan Branch Library (2501 Commonwealth Avenue).
All supplies are provided at the event.
