Flights should be taking off and landing as normal around the region after an equipment issue halted flights on Sunday night.

Last night, flights were grounded at all regional airports due to a problem at a major air traffic control facility in Warrenton.

The Washington Post reported that the delays in Washington had a ripple effect, causing missed connections and delays throughout the nationwide system.

By 7:30 p.m. last night, Patch reported that flights had returned to normal operations.
