‘Boots’ the Tabby Needs a New Stomping Ground in Alexandria

Boots is named after “Puss in Boots” in the Shrek movies, and her eyes even get big when she wants attention.

The five-year-old tabby loves bird watching and making biscuits, and she’s up for adoption with the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria.

Until she’s adopted, Boots is spending time in a foster home to get used to living with people.

“Boots can be shy at first, which is why she’s spending some time in a foster home to build her confidence and come out of her shell,” AWLA spokesperson Gina Hardter told ALXnow. “She was named after the Shrek character Puss in Boots because of her big eyes, which only grow larger when she’s paying attention to you…or if she wants something.”
