According to the Virginia Department of Transportation, drivers on Interstate 395 near the Pentagon on Friday and Saturday night can expect traffic shifts in both directions.

The work is part of a project to repair joints and other “minor” repairs at several bridges on I-395.

The PNC Alexandria Half Marathon will debut in Old Town on Sunday, April 27. It will feature a half-marathon, a 5K, and a kids’ dash.

This event, produced by Pacers Running and sponsored by PNC Bank, is an evolution of the long-running PNC Parkway Classic. The 13.1-mile course begins at Market Square (301 King St.) and extends through Old Town down the George Washington Parkway. Additional roads surrounding City Hall and Market Square will be closed for race set-up.

Alexandria Police Department (APD) shared on social media on Monday (April 14) at 2:29 p.m. that eastbound Duke Street is closed to one lane due to a collision involving three vehicles. According to APD, there are serious injuries.

The Alexandria Police Department (APD) warned drivers to avoid the Duke Street and Quaker Lane intersection after a crash involving anywhere between nine to eleven vehicles.

Travelers along the Woodrow Wilson Memorial Bridge should expect delays tonight and tomorrow morning owing to bridge maintenance.

“The Woodrow Wilson Memorial Bridge is scheduled for bridge maintenance openings from Thursday, February 13th, 10 p.m., through Friday, February 14th, 5 a.m., weather permitting,” the City of Alexandria said in an alert. “There will be multiple openings and traffic stops during this timeframe.”

Alexandria is forecast to get a light dusting of snow, according to the National Weather Service, but the City of Alexandria put out an alert warning that it could be enough to affect commuters.

“The National Weather Service has advised that snow is likely Thursday, January 16 through the early evening and may impact the evening commute,” the release said. “Visibility may be reduced, and snowfall may be present on roadways between 5 and 8 p.m. Our area will most likely see a light dusting of snow, but accumulation may be up to 0.5 inches.”

Early morning travelers take heed: the Woodrow Wilson Bridge will be opening around 4:45 a.m. tomorrow (Tuesday) morning.

The bridge opening is scheduled to take place before scheduled maintenance openings and will last for 15-20 minutes, according to the City of Alexandria.

Late night travelers be aware: the Woodrow Wilson Bridge is scheduled to open Thursday night through early Friday morning for maintenance.

The District of Columbia AlertDC system said the bridge will have multiple openings and traffic stops between 10 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 5, through 5 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 6.

The northbound I-395 ramp to Shirlington Circle will be closed tomorrow night, with traffic diverted to Parkfairfax.

The Virginia Department of Transportation said the closure is expected to last from 9 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 7, to 4 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 8, for rehabilitation work on the Shirlington Circle south rotary bridge.
