Susanna Sullivan, named “America’s fastest teacher” by Runner’s World, is the grand marshal of the 49th annual Alexandria Turkey Trot.
Sullivan is a sixth grade math teacher in Falls Church and five-time Turkey Trot winner (setting a course record three times). She’s also a world-class runner, finishing seventh in the Chicago Marathon this year (she was also the fastest American runner) and 10th in the London Marathon in 2023.
