An 18-year-old woman was robbed of cash and personal items on Sunday afternoon (August 21) in Arlandria.

The incident occurred at around 2:30 p.m. in the 3800 block of Russell Road. The victim was not injured and the male suspect did not use a weapon, according to police.

An 16-year-old Alexandrian is in custody after allegedly pistol-whipping his father over a fight about taking out the trash.

The incident occurred at around 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 30, at an apartment in the 3300 block of S. 28th Street in the West End. After the incident, police received a call from the father, who reported that the argument was sparked when he told his son to take out the trash.

A 24-year-old Washington, D.C., man is behind bars without bond after allegedly altering prices and assaulting a Rack Room Shoes store clerk with pepper spray and making off with stolen footwear.

Jamison McNeil is being held without bond after being arrested on the evening of Wednesday, August 3. At around 7:30 p.m., McNeil allegedly left the Rack Room Shoes in Potomac Yard (3551 Richmond Highway) and was recorded by a store clerk leaving the store with stolen shoes. McNeil allegedly sprayed a store clerk with pepper spray while making a getaway, according to a search warrant affidavit.

After being arrested for suspected burglary, Francis Deonte Rose, 27, has officially been charged in connection with last month’s double homicide at a West End apartment complex.

Rose is charged with the murders of Adrian Dejesus Rivera Guzman and Juan Carlos Anaya Hernandez on Saturday, July 16, in the Assembly Alexandria apartment complex on the 100 block of Century Drive.

Two Washington, D.C. men go to court next month after allegedly robbing the Home Depot and threatening an employee with pepper spray.

On May 19, three suspects walked out of the Home Depot at 400 S. Pickett Street with $2,266.94 worth of power tools and other merchandise. Before they left the store, the three suspects were confronted by a loss prevention officer, according to a search warrant affidavit.

A 23-year-old Prince William County man was arrested on July 23 (Saturday) after police found him asleep in his car on the wrong side of the road on Yale Drive.

The incident occurred at around 4:15 p.m. The investigating officer found a silver Toyota facing the wrong way on Yale Drive in the oncoming traffic lane. The driver was unconscious but breathing in the driver’s seat, police said in a search warrant affidavit.

A 27-year-old Washington, D.C. man is being held without bond after allegedly crashing his car into a Metro Bus in the Braddock area and ditching a “ghost gun.”

The incident occurred at around 4:45 p.m. on July 29 (Friday) in the area of N. Patrick and Montgomery Streets — just a few blocks from the Braddock Road Metro station. No one was injured in the crash.

A 34-year-old Maryland man faces multiple charges after driving toward police on the wrong side of the road in the West End.

At around 11:30 p.m. on July 27 (Wednesday), an Alexandria Police officer was driving his cruiser in the area of South Van Dorn Street and South Pickett Street when a black Audi sedan without lights on headed toward him on the wrong side of the road.
