Music in Montgomery Park Series Continues at Dogtoberfest!

Old Town North Community Partnership in Alexandria hosts local performers, pets, and family fun

Alexandria,VA – October 23, 2025 – The next Music in Montgomery Park concert in Old Town North’s Montgomery Park is scheduled for this Sunday, October 26th from 12:00-1:00 pm, as part of the annual Dogtoberfest celebration (rain date: Sunday, November 2nd). The concert – featuring local performer Mike Seti – and Dogtoberfest are hosted by the Old Town North Community Partnership.

The Music in Montgomery Park Series is a free, pet- and family-friendly event and part of the Old Town North Annual Event Season sponsored by HRP Group, which is currently redeveloping the former power plant site in Old Town North. Music programming is made possible by the generous support of Burke and Herbert Bank. Following a winter hiatus, the series will return in spring 2026 with concerts in April, May, and June.

“The OTNCP is delighted to share live music from Mike Seti at Dogtoberfest, the annual celebration of all things dog and cat,” says Margaret Townsend. Townsend is owner of local business River’s Edge Yoga and President of the Old Town North Community Partnership, now in its 28th year of supporting Old Town North’s residents, businesses and community members.

“This free, family and pet-friendly event allows folks to show off their costume creativity, have paws and palms read, and learn about the mission of several animal rescue organizations in Washington, DC, Maryland, and northern Virginia. The Music in Montgomery Park Series brings our diverse neighborhoods together as a community to shop at the farmers market, pick up a meal and picnic in the park while enjoying live music with local artists.”

“HRP is pleased to continue our support of the Old Town North Community Partnership activities including Dogtoberfest, and we celebrate all our four-legged friends in the neighborhood,” said Michelle Beaman Chang, Vice President, Mixed-Use Development, HRP Group.

The first concert of the Music in Montgomery Park Series took place Sunday, September 21st, in celebration of the Autumnal Equinox. Art Hildebrand was the featured performer. He is a local artist who plays a mix of instrumental finger style and vocal numbers encompassing jazz, blues, rockabilly and country.

On-street parking is available near Montgomery Park.
