REVIVE! Opioid Overdose and Naloxone Education

Overdose-reversal kit with blue Revive pouch, naloxone nasal spray, gloves, and printed instructions laid on a wooden surface.

The Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board has partnered with the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services to launch REVIVE!, a program that makes naloxone available to lay rescuers to reverse opioid overdoses. Opioids include licit prescription medications like hydrocodone and oxycodone, in addition to illicit drugs like heroin.

REVIVE! trains individuals on what to do and not do in an overdose situation, how to administer naloxone, and what to do afterwards. The medication can be acquired at the Fairfax-Falls Church CSB or following the training, naloxone will also be dispensed at no cost to attendees who are residents of Fairfax County and Cities of Fairfax and Falls Church.

Adults. Teens (if under age 16, must be accompanied by a parent to receive the naloxone.)
