Finding Your Eastern European Ancestors

Online event (see link)

Vast numbers of Eastern Europeans came to America in the19th and early 20th centuries. Their progeny, when researching their family history, are often confounded by border changes, language differences, and exotic-sounding surnames.

Help is on the way! Lisa A. Alzo, M.F.A., an internationally recognized lecturer specializing in Eastern European genealogy, will be speaking at the Mount Vernon Genealogical Society’s July 21 meeting.

She’ll discuss traditional methods and online resources for tracking ancestors as well as techniques for overcoming common research obstacles.

Alzo’s talk is FREE to all and available on Zoom.

The ZOOM log in link will be posted at https://mvgenealogy.org/eventListings.php?nm=20 by July 21.
