Field Day is a 24-hour exercise in which amateur radio operators (hams) set up equipment “in the field” to practice emergency communications skills. It’s also a fun-filled day for the public, who can observe and even take part in the operation. School STEM clubs, scouting groups, families—all are invited. Come and experience the art and science of ham radio, as we talk to hams throughout North America. Although we operate from 2 p.m., Saturday, June 27, to 2 p.m., Sunday, June 28, the best times to visit are Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning.
