Port City Brewing Company will host its second annual Port to Port Beer Festival on Aug. 16 from 12-4 p.m. at the brewery’s Alexandria location.
The festival will feature 19 breweries from across the United States and Germany, including international participants Radeberger from Radeberg, Germany, and Jackie O’s from Athens, Ohio. Local and regional favorites include The Veil from Richmond, Virginia, and Jailbreak Brewing from Laurel, Maryland.
Admission tickets include a commemorative 5-ounce glass and unlimited pours. The event will also feature yard games, tented seating, a live DJ, and a private taco station from La Tingeria. Designated driver tickets are available.
Port City will debut two exclusive beers at the festival. Koji Kai, a collaboration with Stone Brewing, Vasen Brewing, and North American Sake Brewing, is a dry-hopped grisette brewed with koji rice and fermented with Belgian saison yeast. The 4.5 percent ABV beer will be available for tasting and take-home purchases in four-packs.
The brewery will also preview its new Watermelon Gose, a 5% ABV sour beer featuring watermelon and sea salt, which will be released to the public the following week.

Early bird tickets are $50 through August 10, increasing to $60 on August 11. The festival beers will only be available to ticket holders; however, the brewery’s tasting room and beer garden will remain open for regular business.
The festival will take place at Port City Brewing Company, 3950 Wheeler Ave. Tickets are available at giftrocker.com.
