Santa Claus to waterski on Potomac River this Christmas Eve

Waterskiing Santa is returning to Alexandria on Christmas Eve (via Visit Alexandria)

Santa needs a warm-up in Alexandria before going to work delivering toys on Christmas Eve.

At 1 p.m., Jolly Old St. Nicholas will waterski along the Potomac River near Alexandria’s waterfront.

Santa’s been skiing on the Potomac for the last 39 Christmas Eves.

According to Visit Alexandria:

Santa, Mrs. Claus, and his merry crew will once again visit the D.C. region via historic Alexandria. There is also a rumor the Grinch will try and steal the show at 12:45 PM before the show starts!
Santa and his pals begin at BARCA Pier at 1 p.m. and ski north to Founders Park before circling back south and finishing at Ford’s Landing.
