Ting Internet announced this week that its fiber internet is now available in some Alexandria neighborhoods.
Last year, Alexandria’s City Council voted to allow Lumos and Ting to piggyback off broadband internet service cables the city was laying down alongside a new municipal network, breaking Comcast’s monopoly as Alexandria’s sole internet provider.
“Ting’s fiber Internet is currently available in select neighborhoods and is steadily expanding across all of Alexandria,” the company said in a release, “with full municipal access expected by 2025.”
Residents can put in their addresses on Ting’s website to see if they qualify. There’s no indication of which neighborhoods Ting is now operating in, but a few addresses in Arlandria showed that service was ready to go.
“Customers in Alexandria will be able to sign up for symmetrical residential Internet for $89 per month, which provides Ting’s gigabit fiber Internet with upload and download speeds of up to 1,000 megabits per second (Mbps),” the release said. “Plans for businesses enterprises and bulk services are fully customizable and can be created with the Ting Internet enterprise team.”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.
You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.
It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
