Lawsuit Challenging Assault Weapon Ban on Pause — “A Lancaster County Court judge has joined multiple other courts in pausing a lawsuit challenging Virginia’s assault weapons ban and restrictions on large-capacity magazines. On Friday, the court granted a stay in the case John Crump, et al. v. Jeffrey S. Katz. The decision aligns the Lancaster County Court with three other Virginia state courts and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, which have all granted similar stays in challenges to the Commonwealth’s gun-safety law.” [12 on Your Side]
