The Eisenhower West Landmark Van Dorn Implementation Advisory Group will meet Monday, Sept. 29, to discuss progress on the redevelopment of the former Landmark Mall site and other West End projects.
The advisory group will meet at 7 p.m. at the Patrick Henry Recreation Center, 4653 Taney Ave. The agenda includes progress on the WestEnd development and updates on other key West End projects.
The 15-member advisory group was established by City Council on March 29, 2016. The group’s mission is to provide guidance to staff on infrastructure and funding plans and related follow-up studies outlined in the Eisenhower West Small Area Plan and the Landmark Van Dorn Corridor Plan.

The WestEnd project is a 4 million square foot mixed-use redevelopment of the former 52-acre Landmark Mall site at 5801 Duke St. The development is a joint venture between Foulger Pratt, Howard Hughes Corp., and Seritage Growth Properties that began in 2019.
The project will include Inova Health System’s new hospital campus, which is relocating from 4320 Seminary Road, with a $1 billion investment. The hospital is expected to employ more than 2,000 healthcare workers upon completion. Construction on horizontal infrastructure is underway, with first buildings estimated to deliver in 2025.
A question-and-answer session with community members will follow the formal presentations.
