Old Town Sandwich Shop to reopen Sept. 2 after renovation

Old Town Sandwich shop will reopen soon after undergoing a two-week interior renovation.

The longstanding business at 127 S. Peyton Street closed for interior work on Friday, Aug. 22, and will reopen on Tuesday, Sept. 2, according to a note left on the front door.

“The entire place has been refreshed, and renovated with a fresh, clean look,” customer Tim Bennett told ALXnow.

The work is being completed by the Michael & Son Cares Foundation, which helps locals and businesses in need of a helping hand. A grand reopening will be held on Thursday, Sept. 4.
