The Alexandria Fire Department was honored with a featured documentary at Fire-Rescue International 2025, the premier conference for fire and emergency service leaders currently underway in Orlando, Florida.
The department announced Tuesday on social media that WebsEdge IAFC TV produced a five-minute film titled “Stronger Together: The Alexandria Fire Department Story,” highlighting the department’s commitment to service and leadership. The documentary was showcased at the International Association of Fire Chiefs conference, which runs through Thursday at the Orange County Convention Center.
According to the film’s description, the Alexandria Fire Department “exemplifies courage, compassion, and community service.” The documentary references explicitly the department’s response to the deadly January incident at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, noting their “professionalism and resolve brought dignity and order to an unimaginable scene at DCA airport.”
The film highlights the department’s ongoing commitment beyond emergency response, emphasizing its focus on firefighter health and wellness programs, as well as inclusive, community-focused services. It also showcases the department’s investments in advanced training, innovative technology, and public engagement initiatives.
Fire-Rescue International 2025 draws thousands of fire and emergency service leaders from across North America and internationally each summer. The three-day conference features educational sessions on topics including political navigation, change management, ethical leadership, emergency medical services issues, and career development.
The event also includes an exhibition hall where hundreds of vendors showcase the latest innovations in fire service apparatus, technology, equipment, and gear.
The documentary about Alexandria’s fire department can be viewed on the WebsEdge Society YouTube channel or below, where it has garnered 300 views since its Aug. 10 posting.
